Vision

A vison statement is a declaration of an organization's ultimate goal, and is used to guide decision-making. The vision statement gives purpose to the organization and gives a view into the ideal future. A vision is a huge, inspiring goal for the future, while a mission is usually realistic and achievable. LinkedIn has a good example of a vision and mission:

Vision: To create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.
Mission: To connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful.
