Data collection matrix

D

A data collection matrix (sometimes called a data collection plan) is used in evaluation planning to identify:

  • what data will be collected;

  • from what sources it will be collected;

  • how it will be collected;

  • who will collect it;

  • when it will be collected; and

  • how the data will be analyzed.

Read more about the other components of an evaluation plan, or check out our customizable evaluation plan template (which includes a data collection matrix).
