Secondary data

S

Secondary data is data that has been collected by someone other than the person using it. For example, an evaluator using government census data is using a secondary data source because they were not involved in the data collection of the census. Evaluators often rely on secondary data, originally collected by programs as part of their regular operations, as indicators to answer evaluation questions.
