Qualitative data analysis software

Q

Qualitative data analysis (QDA) software are tools that assist with categorizing and sorting qualitative data (e.g., interview transcripts). These programs are designed to handle large amounts of text and help the analyst to be more thorough and unbiased while coding the text into themes. QDA software do not automatically analyze data and are no substitute for thoughtful analysis – they simply make it easier to categorize, sort, search, and visualize the text data. Some popular QDA software are ATLAS.ti, NVivo, and MAXQDA.
