Plan-do-study-act (PDSA) is an iterative problem-solving model for implementing change. It consists of four stages.

  1. Plan: What is the objective? How will you measure success?

  2. Do: Try a small-scale test.

  3. Study: Analyze the data gathered by the test.

  4. Act: Determine what modifications need to be made and prepare for another test, as needed.
