Performance appraisal (or performance review) is an employee feedback tool that is applied at consistent intervals, most commonly on an annual basis but could be used more often. This is a standardized assessment tool across an organization that allows both supervisors and employees to reflect on an employee's work. This tool will include areas the employee excel at and areas for improvement.
