The most significant change technique is a monitoring and evaluation method based on story-telling. Evaluators ask various stakeholders about the major changes that have been caused by the program. These stories of significant change are compiled, then evaluators focus further discussion around the most valued or most significant changes. These discussions bring attention to the most important benefits of the program, and allows future improvements to focus on those most significant changes.
