Meta-analysis

Meta-analysis is the analysis of the results of many similar studies. It is a study of other studies (that’s what makes it meta!). For example, studies on the effect of some drug may produce slightly different results if done at different times, with different groups of people, or in different regions, so a meta-analysis looks for trends in all the studies.
