Likert-type scale
A Likert-type scale is a common type of survey question where the respondent is given a statement and asked to place themselves on an ordinal scale, often strongly agree to strongly disagree. Likert-type scales could have any number of options for responses, but commonly used are 5-point and 7-point scales. An example of a 5-point Likert scale is:
I am satisfied with the care I received today
a) Strongly agree
b) Somewhat agree
c) Neutral
d) Somewhat disagree
e) Strongly disagree
