Information management (IM)

I

Information management (or records and information management) is a people-centred approach where the aim is for the right people to have timely access to the right data. Information is restricted to those who need to know it. Information management covers the entire life cycle of the data and has five key components: collection, storage, distribution, archiving, and destruction. Information management includes both electronic and physical information.
