Data cleaning

D

Data cleaning (a.k.a. data cleansing) is the process of finding and removing errors in a dataset. In data cleaning, we are often looking for data entry errors, typos, and nonsensical answers. For example, if the Age variable had one respondent listed as 1234 years old, that entry should be investigated and corrected. After data is cleaned, it is ready to be analyzed.
