Construct validity
Construct validity is the degree to which a test or instrument actually measures what it is supposed to measure. As opposed to face validity, construct validity is determined using statistical methods such as correlation. For example, a valid intelligence test should accurately measure “intelligence,” and not other characteristics like memory or education.
