Community engagement is an approach that involves the members of a community in working and learning together with the evaluator. The goal of community engagement is to create better, longer-term benefits in the community. Some ways to practice community engagement are inviting input from community members, collaborating with them on finding solutions, and partnering with them in decision-making.
