Coding

Coding is a process used in qualitative research to analyze and categorize data obtained from interviews, focus groups, observations, or other sources of qualitative data. Coding involves systematically assigning labels or codes to segments of data, such as interview responses or text passages, to identify patterns, themes, or concepts within the data. Qualitative data coding helps researchers organize, analyze, and interpret the rich and nuanced information obtained from qualitative research. It allows for the identification of patterns, themes, and underlying meanings within the data, enabling researchers to gain a deeper understanding of the research topic or phenomenon.
