Case control study

C

A case-control study is a type of observational research used to study an outcome by sampling people with and without that outcome. For example, if we were studying lung cancer, we would select a sample of people who have lung cancer (cases), and a sample of similar people who do not have lung cancer (controls), then compare them to understand the origin of the disease.
